Clogged Drain

So I woke up this morning to wet carpet... mmmmmmmm wet carpet... it would seem that the drain outside my door is clogged and nothing seems to be able to unclog it. So there I was at 6:30 in the morning using my handy-dandy steam cleaner to suck up as much of the water out of the carpet as I could. At least it seems to be fairly localized to the front door and around the edges of the wall near the bathroom and counter. So no damage to any electronics or furniture has ensued. Now before everyone freaks, I have informed my landlord who is going to check it out today. So hopefully the problem will be solved by the time I get home from work and before it starts raining etc. again. All I need is more water seeping in. The carpet needed a really good cleaning anyways (it's really dirty), so now I guess I have an excuse to have the landlords pay to rent a super-duper steamcleaner, as the water in the apartment is not my fault.

The past weekend was pretty uneventful... I rewrote my CPA Level II exam on Friday morning, so hopefully I did better this time - I need a 68 on the exam to pass both the CPA's and my works expected grade(which is 75% overall). The fact that I have been sick for the past week has me a little worried about how I did. Well there's not much I can do about it now. Speaking of being sick... this whatever it is I have just does not want to go away. I feel like crap one day, then the next not so bad but then I feel like crap again. Sinus headaches, cough, sore throat, feeling crappy... it's really fun. So when D. called to cancal going dancing on Friday night I wasn't all that upset 'cause I was feeling crappy. - Hope L.'s puppy is doing better - Then I call A. about heading to Guelph to visit her on Sat. and guess what... she and D. had been very ill all week too. They've had it much worse than I have so she decided that we will be doing a girls night here in TO on Sat. - Hope you are getting through all that work you had to do A. see you Sat. - So instead of heading out to party in Guelph on Sat.night I ended up at M.'s knitting. We are just so exciting... we had 3 choices for Sat. nights entertainment - A friends art show, a Bday at a pub and staying in and watching some movies. Well since we all felt like crap guess what we picked... movies and wine... so we called L. and ended up having a Stich'n'Bitch - M. learned to knit lefthanded just before L. showed up so that she could teach her, as she is a southpaw. We drank wine, knitted and watched the first 10 episodes of Space Invader Zim. Sunday was pretty much a do nothing day, managed to wash some dishes that's about it.

Damn, C. Sorry to hear about the flooding - I hope it doesn't get any worse. And you're still sick! That sucks babe. We will have to have another Stitch 'n Bitch soon, that is low key yet entertaining. Besides, we have like another 30 episodes of Invader Zim to watch.
