Okay, just to catch everyone up on what I mean - my niece has completely decided to take after her mom... I guess when you grow up with white trash you don't have much of a chance to get away from it... I was hoping that her moving to TO and going to school would give her a chance and it did but she most definitly did not take it. I found out the other day that she has upped and moved back to her mom's house. She did not inform the landlords and has left a phone # that does not work. Mmmmmm....the only reason the landlords knew this was happening was that they happened to be at the house when her mom showed up to move her out. Not only did they leave the apartment in a disgusting mess but pretty much ran out on 2 months rent. All this after finding out that she had dropped out of school and got engaged to some 18 year old from Memphis, whom she meet online. I'm lucky enough to have nice landlords, they have kept this incident seperate from me, but I still feel responsible because I was the one who brought her to them. It makes me look bad. So I offered to clean up the apartment so that they can rent it out as soon as possible, but Karen said that it was really bad and they were thinking of getting professional cleaners to do it. Okay... really how bad is it when you think you might need professionals. This sort of thing just makes me so mad... her and her mom lied to the landlords, gave them false information and left them hanging and not only that they completely left myself and my side of the family in the dark about everything... just goes to show you what can happen when you try to do something nice for extended family - like it's going to happen again.
On a brighter note - I passed my ANTHRO 100 exam. I somehow pulled a 66% out of my ass. So that means I passed the course - Yeah me. Pretty good for someone who didn't go to class all year. Man, I wonder what kind of mark I would have gotten if I had went. Just checked - and I managed an overall 63% for the course... not bad.

That's crappy about K, honey. But she is only 19, so maybe there's still hope. Some of us take a long time to wise up ;|
Besides, you should be happy about YOU now! You should come over and we shall celebrate our multiple reasons for happiness.
I really hope you are right... but being back with her mom is not going to help her any... blahhhh... oh well there's not much I can do about it, not my life.
We definitely need to celebrate!!
