A Harry Potter Week

So in the past week or so, I have managed to read all of the Harry Potter books, I am now reading the 6th installment and hope to have it done by the end of the weekend. It has been a most enjoyable week of reading, something I haven't done in ages and I've really missed doing it. Last weekend when I was at my parents, I spent the whole day lounging outside in the great weather reading. It was great. Of course the only draw back is that I don't get anything else done. When I'm reading that is all there is. Though I did manage to take some time out to show off my car to M and A and hang out with Patrick this week.

Speaking of new car, my neighour told me she saw some guy casing the cars on our street. And guess whose car he was really eyeing up. Yes my nice new shiny red baby. I guess this guy was being pretty obvious, pulling on handles and stuff, so my neighbour called the police, who cruised through the neighbourhood a couple of times. Needless to say I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked. All I could think about was someone smashing the window on my car and stealing my stereo.

SHOES

So M. and I went shopping yesterday... and we bought shoes, lots of shoes. Well she bought lots of shoes, a whole bag full of shoes. I only bought 2 pairs. And they are very cute and I can wear my orthodics in them. I'm even wearing a pair of them right now. They look very cute with my skirt.

Today is going to be one long day... I have training from 9:30 t0 4:30 then I have to go home and be trained on how to use the A/C while the landlords are away and then I have to clean out my car. The last one not so much of a chore, since it means I'm that much closer to getting my new car. I'm so excited.

Updates

It would seem that I have become a weekly updater... Maybe it's because my life is so unexciting... or maybe it's because I'm just so damn lazy, especially in this heat. Anyway this last weekend was way too hot... my landlords headed out for the weekend and decided it would be a good thing to turn off the A/C so I had to roast in my hot and humid apartment. Good thing M. invited me over for yummy pork roast dinner on Friday and hair dying on Saturday, so that I could enjoy their cool living room.

So I've finally got the nerve up to pull out all my Massage Therapy notes... omg I have opened one hell of a can of worms. On Thursday, I decided to start getting this stuff out so that I could get going on reviewing it for my recert. course. Of course none of it was in any sort of order... However, it must be done. I was looking over some of it and couldn't believe that I knew this stuff inside and out at one time. I didn't even recognize some of the terms... This could be very interesting. I've decided to take the month of August to review all this stuff and then take my recert. course after my surgery.

Monday I got the call about my car... my credit is GOOD!!!!!! Yeah me.... Picking it up bright and early Saturday morning. I'm so excited... I just need to get my insurance all figured out and it's a done deal.

I have also registered for my next course at U of T - Archeology of the Ancient Near East - I think I'm really going to enjoy this one. I've decided to only take one course again this year... the other course that was at a time I could work into my schedual was not as interesting looking this time around as it was earlier... and I really don't want to waste $1000 on something I'm not going to enjoy. And anyways, I'm also going to be taking my Massage Therapy recert. course - so I think I'm going to be pretty busy this fall.

New Car

Well pending credit approval... Which I don't think will be too much of a problem. Next weekend I will be able to take possession of my new car... looking forward to that. I'm getting a Spectra5, which is a hatchback, 5 speed, and fully loaded and in keeping with the colour scheme for cars, it is red. I somehow end up with red cars. Oh well what can you do.

A/C

All I have to say is that thank god for the A/C finally being turned on... For the last 2 days I have done nothing but revel in the chilly goodness that is my apartment. I'm sure Murphy appreciates it too.

My Week In Review....

Friday July 1st - Canada Day - yummy BBQ that was cut a bit short due to the unusually cool weather. But there was good food, good company and sparklers what more could one want.

Wedensday July 6th - Out with Patrick to Improve at the Bad Dog Theatre where his friend Lee's girlfriend Jamie was participating - very cool, even ended up on stage in one of the challenges. Then off to see Robert Plant - I still can't believe that he still can belt out the tunes.

Thursday July 7th - Very tired... late night ;ppppp

Saturday July 9th - Yuppy mall and Land of the Dead... Michelle and I decided to go see Land of the Dead - got there for the 1:35 show to find out that it actually started at 1:05... so we had to wait until the 4:15 show... try wasting time in the mall at the varisty. $200 shoes to look at and way to many fashion crimes to mention - death to the gold shoes.

So to recap - BBQ-yummy, Robert Plant-unexpectly good, Yuppy mall and Zombie clowns.
