The Flea Market Adventure

So on Saturday Michelle, Adam and I made the trip to the 400 flea market. A nice little drive up Highway 400, it's alway nice to see green. Kinda miss that sort of thing in the city. Michelle and Adam were looking for a island type thing for their kitchen and of course that ever elusive freezer. Anyway, we didn't find anything like that, but I did find a nice stainless steel toaster(which works very well I might add), only $20 and I also picked up a big bag of bones for Murphy (6 for 5 bucks).

A Dog and his Bone

Believe me he enjoyed every bite, it took him less than an hour to completely devour the whole thing. After the flea market we stopped at this huge outlet mall where I discovered a Paderno outlet store. I just couldn't resist. Well resist going in, I managed to resist buying myself something, but I did get my dad a great BBQ set for father's day. But still no freezer for Michelle and Adam. My plan was to go and just browse, I didn't even take any money, but wouldn't you know it there was a bank machine. So in the end I was the only who bought stuff.

We even made a stop in a mall in Vaughn... It was so horrifing that I can't even speak of it now. Never again.

All in all a pretty good day for me, not so much for Michelle and Adam.

In closing - a shout out to Debbie who as of today is a free woman. Congrats on the finalization of your divorce and we will go out next week to celebrate.

Swimming

So yesterday after work I went to the gym and used the exercise pool... It was soooo cool. You can adjust the current so that you have only a little resistance or alot. I was able to do breast stroke in place, kinda neat. So Im doing it again this afternoon... I think I'm hooked. Have to admit I'm a little sore today, but in a good way. If I keep going at lunch with D. to ride the bike and swim at least 3x's a week, I'll be all sexy in no time.

I Smell Like Jelly....

Strawberry jelly to be exact. I discovered this yesterday while enjoying a few drinks on the patio at the Pour House. We all met there to celebrate Laura C and her boy getting married. Congralations to them again. All and all a very nice afternoon with friends and a couple of their crazy kids. The kids sure livened things up... the things that come out of the mounths of a 4 and 6 year old. We rode the train to Candyland quite a number of times yesterday, good thing there was a drinking and smoking car. Anyway, it turned out to be an early night... might have something to do with the fact we started drinking at 4pm and finished off, what was it, four pitchers or so. Definitly a good afternoon.

Coffee on the Deck

This morning I had coffee and my bagel on the deck... yes the deck, sitting at a tiny table on tiny chairs. The deck floor is all done and the fence is now being put up. Deckboy now has a deadline... Saturday... my landlord's daughter has planned her birthday party and it includes spending the day on the deck. Hopefully the weather will co-operate and he will be able to get it stained before the party.

Yesterday we went for Thai food, which was really good... It has been awhile since I had a yummy Pad Thai...It was just toooooo hot to cook.
