NO MORE MUD.....

No the deck is not yet finished... I still have hopes for a Canada Day BBQ... Right now I have to celebrate the fact that all the mud has been cleaned up... at least for now. The Deckboy aka Patrick was nice enough to clean it all up, of course that is after I whined about it for a while. Anyway, it goes way above and beyond as he even cleaned all the crap off my stairs and in the little vestibule thing outside my door - he had to shovel it out, that's how much there was. Now the whole area including the pathway back is nice and clean, which is very much appreciated by me and my carpet... though I think the carpet is pretty much on its last legs. The dirt is just ground right in. Now maybe I can talk the landlords into a nice floating laminate floor, ripping up all that crappy brick and putting down something nice, fixing the drain outside my door... the list seems to go on... I wonder how much I could get away with. Though Patrick has offered to build some planter boxes for me so that I can have some plants outside... how nice is that.

Sooooo Much Shopping....

So much that my feet hurt by the time I got home... well that might be more due to the fact I was wearing shoes that I could not put my orthotics in. Anyway yesterday a whole lot of shopping happened. M and I hit the outlet stores and were soon parted from our hard-earned money. But man, did we enjoy it. Lots of new tops and bottoms and yes even some colour... The most colourful (and scary) is the lime-green tank I bought. I think my mom will fall over when she sees it. I also got a royal blue, black and chocolate brown tanks, a black lacey tank and 2 scoop neck shirts, one purple and the other brown. All from Old Navy. Then we headed to the Reitmen's to find some bottoms. Along the way a very strange thing happened. M and I suddenly went all girly... she was gushing over fuzzy yellow goslings and I was driving like a woman... they must be something in the air at those stores. At Reitmen's I found 4 pairs of capris and a cute scooter - unfortunetatly I was only able to get one pair that was not black...a nice green pair of cargos...but I did get a very nice black pin stripe pair...very classy. We then came back downtown and met A. for dinner at the Old Nick, then I was off home. Boy did I sleep well last night.

The First Long Weekend of the Summer

So the 1st long weekend is drawing to a close... and it turned out to be quite a nice one. The weather managed to cooperate and I spent many a hour at the PARK with Murphy. On Friday I was over to Michelle and Adam's to spend some time with Michelle who is strangly enough suffering from tonsilitis. Saturday was spent at the PARK with the puppy, I'm sure we could have spent longer but my arm could not take anymore. Two hours was qute enough for me. Saturday night I was back over to M and A's place for some movies and kniting (still working on that blanket). Just to liven things up we decided to play horror movie drinking games. We were watching Darkness and were getting bored so we decided that everytime something evil was about to happen or happened we had to drink. Well this included things such as dramatic music and possibly scarely things that might happen. But all this led to us just yelling out evil so that we could drink. EVIL :) After wathing this absolute piece of crap we watched the remake of Dawn of the Dead, so we played the zombie movie drinking game. Whenever someone got bit you drank. I really liked this version, more people got bit ;) well and because the zombies were fast... unlike the orginal where you could outrun them. Anyway, Sunday I just chilled, and today turned out to be beautiful so Murphy got even more PARK time. Back to work tomorrow, it will be my last day working in my old department. As of Wedensday, I will be moving to my new deprtment permantely.

The Next Big Health Crisis

Move over Tennis Elbow, shove off Golfer's Elbow and say hello to CHUCKIT ELBOW... I think that every physiotherapist and massage therapist should prepare themselves for the onslaught of dog owners with this new form of repetitive strain syndrome.

Abit Behind Again...

Haven't been doing a very good job at keeping caught up on my blog... bad me. Anyway, it's been kinda busy. On Wedensday I had to drive out to the Mississauga office for training... and of course got caught in the Beer truck incindent, then on the way back to let the Murphhead out, there was another accident, and then on my way back to Etobicoke to see the Doc. there was an accident and guess what happened on the way home from the Doc. If you said 'there was an accident', you would be sooooo right. But out of all that hellish driving there is a silver lining. I am booked to have surgery on Sept. 8th. I am soooo ready to go out and buy pretty bras... but I must wait.

On Thursday, I headed up to Owen Sound for the weekend and another Dr's appointment. It was just a follow up and no big deal. My dad is doing really well after back surgery and is feeling much better... he can even walk faster than I can. The most interesting thing that happened this weekend was Murphy's trip to the dog wash. It is an amazing idea. It's just like the DYI car washes... there is a raised wash basin with a ramp upto it and a chain to hook to the collar (or haltie as the case may be) and then you put your change in and there is a shower hose with a controlable spray head. The shampoo is premixed so you just have to soak him down with soap and water, change to the rinse setting and wash him down, then conditioner and then another rinse. There was a dryer too... but Murphy sure did not like that one bit, so we just used good ol' towels to dry him off. Now he is the envy of the neighbourhood. I am definitly going to take pictures next time.

Stability results were moderately low which suggests you are worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.

Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.

Extraversion results were low which suggests you are very reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

trait snapshot:

introverted, irritable, feels invisible, observer, depressed, does not enjoy leadership, reveals little about self, dislikes large parties, feels undesirable, does not like to stand out, submissive, suspicious, emotionally sensitive, not a thrill seeker, solitude loving, likes silence, fragile, second guesses self, negative, unadventurous, fearful, weird, focuses on people's hidden motives, paranoid, phobic, dependent, cautious, avoidant, semi intellectual

Kinda depressing if you ask me.... ;ppppp Could be because I am sooooo damn tired - no sleep for me last night - achy, achy and more achy and disturbing dreams... what a combo.

Been very busy this week

This has been one busy week for me. Last Friday, Michelle and I went to clean my neice's mess up, just to discover that they had ACTUALLY cleaned up the worst of it sometime that week... I was amazed. Anyway, it still took the two of us two hours to finish the job. We scrubed everything, and left it sparkling clean. Thanks to M. I couldn't have done it without you. So the weekend was pretty quiet. Not feeling up to doing to much. Got back to knitting Amber's baby blanket, it's starting to look like one now. It's going to be pretty big. I also found out that the engineer friend of my landlords who is helping to build the deck, knits. That was kinda neat... the first man I have meet who knits...
Anyway, I started my new job this week. This is the first time in over a year that I have had to come to work on a Friday. It's going to be a bit of a shift for myself and for Murphy... he was very confused this morning when we got up early, went for a walk (well he liked that part), he was eating his breakfast when he noticed that I was getting ready to leave. He would eat some then watch me then eat some more and watch me again. Poor guy, he's used to his mom spending all day Friday with him. I'm sure he'll get used to it eventually.
The new job is interesting, I am going through the training process right now. I am learning a whole new product so it has been alittle overwhelming, but in a good way. I am slowly working my way upto full time hours, which will be quite a change, but can't complain too much as the money will be much better.
